LORETTA LYNN AT ARLINGTON MUSIC HALL: SATURDAY, FEB 9TH

For over 50 years Loretta Lynn has fashioned a body of work as artistically and commercially successful – and as culturally significant – as ANY female performer you’d care to name. Her music has confronted many of the major social issues of her time, and her life story is a rags-to-riches tale familiar to pop, rock and country fans alike. The Coal Miner’s Daughter-the tag refers to a hit single, an album, a best-selling autobiography, an Oscar-winning film, and to Lynn herself-has journeyed from the poverty of the Kentucky hills to Nashville superstardom to her current status as an honest-to-goodness American icon. She recently marked an amazing milestone-50 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and now you can see her LIVE! at the Arlington Music Hall.

This show will also feature singer/songwriter Holly Williams. Holly Williams, the daughter of Hank Williams, Jr. and granddaughter of the legendary Hank Williams, released her debut album “The Ones We Never Knew in 2004. The follow-up, “Here With Me” was released in 2009, earning high praise from The New York Times, The L.A. Times, USA Today, People, Entertainment Weekly, American Songwriter, and NPR Weekend Edition (Sunday). She has recently released her third studio album, “The Highway” and is receiving tremendous reviews!

Insider Tip: the $75 tickets for the front sections are already sold out. The $60 middle section tickets are getting sparse, so don’t delay in purchasing your tickets. There are still a good amount of seats in the rear section on the floor, as well as seats available in the balcony.

Tickets for the Loretta Lynn concert are: $45 and $60 and may be purchased at Arlington Music Hall’s box office or on-line by linking here: http://arlingtonmusichall.tix.com/Event.aspx?EventCode=525018.

Arlington Music Hall is a good venue for this show with seating for 1,100 country music fans. This old converted theater in downtown Arlington was remodeled two years ago. The Hall is also the home of the Arlington Music Revue (formerly known as “Johnny High’s Country Music Revue”, the show that catapulted the careers of LeeAnn Rimes, Lee Ann Womack and others. It’s also the home of the Arlington Symphony.
