Loretta Lynn Sings - 1963
Loretta Lynn Sings was her first studio album to be released and her first top 10 entry on the Billboard Country chart. It heralded the start of a superstar career and one of the most prolific and successful country artists of the next two decades. The album also contained her first top 10 single, "Success". Loretta was here and she was here to stay!

Before I’m Over You - 1964
Loretta's second album was Before I'm Over You, including one track written by Loretta herself. The album peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Country Albums chart in June 1964 and included her very first top 10 single, "Before I'm Over You", which had been released the previous year.

Songs from My Heart - 1965
Songs From My Heart was Loretta's third studio album and it cemented her early Nashville and Country style as her popularity and success began to bloom. The album peaked at number 8 and included two songs written by Loretta and one by her husband, "You Made What I Am".

Blue Kentucky Girl - 1965
By 1965, Loretta had had three consecutive Top 5 singles and was fast becoming a Country icon. The album reached number 14 in the charts and had one single released from it, "Blue Kentucky Girl". This would be her last solo Country album for 12 years not to make the top ten.

Mr. and Mrs. Used to Be - 1965
Loretta's first collaborative album was one of three that she would record with fellow Country star, Ernest Tubb. Mr. and Mrs. Used to Be was a huge success, spawning two singles and reaching number 13 on the Country charts.

Hymns - 1965
Buoyed by her success in the Country music scene, Loretta released her first gospel album in November 1965, featuring popular songs and two written by Loretta. Hymns reached the number 10 spot on the Country chart and spent a total of 17 weeks on the chart. Its only single, "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven" did not chart.

I Like 'Em Country - 1966
I Like 'Em Country was Loretta's first record to have two singles, "The Home You're Tearin' Down" and "Dear Uncle Sam", the latter of which was the first single written by Loretta to reach the top 10. The album itself was also a resounding success, reaching the number 2 spot.

You Ain't Woman Enough - 1966
You Ain't Woman Enough was Loretta's eighth studio album and her first to reach number one in the US country chart. The album's only single, You Ain't Woman Enough, reached #2 making it her biggest hit up to that point and her highest charting single. This release cemented her position as one of the greatest country musicians of the time and was the second in a string of top 10 albums, starting with I Like 'Em Country, which was released only 8 months earlier. You Ain't Woman Enough was also the most programmed album of 1967, receiving the recognition from Billboard in its awards ceremony.

A Country Christmas - 1966
Country Christmas was Loretta's first Christmas record, showcasing some classic Christmas songs, a traditional hymn as well as some original songs from Loretta. One of these was the only single released from the album, "To Heck with Ole Santa Claus". The album was released in October 1966.

Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind) - 1967
Loretta's ninth studio album was her first to be certified Gold and she was the first woman in Country Music to garner that award. Throughout her career, she was renowned for "singin' it like the women lived it" and Don't Come Home A Drinkin', the eponymous single, was the perfect example of that philosophy. Her trademark down-to-earth style made her a huge success in an era when these stories were not being told. She sang it like it was!

Singin’ Again (with Ernest Tubb) - 1967
The second of Loretta and Ernest Tubb's collaborations was an even bigger success than their first, with Singin' Again reaching number 2, hot on the heels of her number one record, Don't Come Home a-Drinkin'. The winning duet reunited releasing one single.

Who Says God Is Dead! - 1968
Loretta's second gospel album, Who Says God is Dead!, was released in January 1968. The album peaked on the charts and number 44 and featured her son, Ernest Ray Lynn, on the track "Mama, Why?".

Fist City - 1968
Fist City, when released in April 1968, became Loretta's second chart-topping album. It was Loretta at her peak, writing, singing, and telling it like it is, and Fist City was one of the first records to do that. It released two singles, with "What Kind of Girl" reaching number 1 in August 1968.

Here’s Loretta Lynn - 1968
Here's Loretta Lynn was a complilation record of many of Loretta's early hits, before she had released any albums. It included all but two of her earliest singles with Zero Records; one of the omitted singles was her debut single, "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl". A lot of the songs included would later be re-recorded and included on later albums.

Greatest Hits - 1968
Loretta Lynn's Greatest Hits was released two months after Here's Loretta Lynn by Decca Records, including all of her biggest singles from her breakthrough years. Your Squaw Is On The Warpath - 1969
Almost a year after her latest studio album, Your Squaw Is on the Warpath was released in February 1969 and was another huge success for Loretta, following on the success of the release of the single "You've Just Stepped In". The album reached number 2 in the charts and shows her talents as a singer and interpreter of others' songs.

Loretta's 15th studio album, Wings Upon Your Horns, was released in January 1970, containing seven songs written by Loretta. Reaching No. 8 in the charts, this record was the continuing saga of a strong-willed woman committed to a male-defined world.

Coal Miner’s Daughter - 1971
While Coal Miner's Daughter is now remembered as the album containing Loretta's most iconic song, the autobiographical "Coal Miner's Daughter", the album itself was a typical mix of Loretta songs, covers and re-releases. Released in January 1971, it reached No. 4 on the country chart and No. 81 on the pop chart. The only single from the album would go on to become Lorett'a signature song and the name of an Oscar-winning movie in 1981. Now over 50 years old, Coal Miner's Daughter remains one of her only albums to be certified Gold, only achieving that certification in 1985, 14 years after its release.

Entertainer of the Year - 1973
Entertainer of the Year, released in February 1973, was named after Loretta's achievement of becoming the first female artist to receive the Entertainer of the Year award from the Country Music Association. Its only single "Rated 'X'" unashamedly talked about divorce, as Loretta continued to sing about taboo issues. Both the single and the album were No. 1 hits.

Back to the Country - 1975
Back to the Country was somewhat of a misnomer for an artist who had been at the forefront of Country music for her entire career and, unusrprisingly, it was another big success for Loretta. The only single, "The Pill" certainly caused a stir with its release, as the track was banned by numerous radio stations across the country.

Feelins’ - 1975

I Remember Patsy was Loretta's first tribute album to her great friend, colleague, and mentor, Patsy Cline, who had died nearly 15 years earlier. Their eighth collaboration together, Honk Tonk Heroes was also their eighth album release in eight years. The two Heroes, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, were gaining strength still, as Honky Tonk Heroes became their first album to chart in Canada, where it reached No. 2, as well as peaking at No. 8 in the US. Its only single, "From Seven Till Ten", also reached No. 2 in Canada and No. 6 in the US.

Sesame Country - 1981

Honky Tonk Angels was an album released by Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and Loretta in November 1993. It was a Top 10 release, reaching No. 6 in the Country charts, and Loretta's first Top 10 album in over ten years. The album celebrated three of the women who changed the fabric of country music, bringing together three cornerstones of the genre with a pinch of Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells featured too. Five years after her latest solo release, Who Was That Stranger, Loretta released her album Making More Memories in February 1994. The album, unusually, was only sold at the Loretta Lynn Ranch and at live events. The album's only single, "We Need to Make More Memories", was also Loretta's first ever music video, which was filmed on her ranch and features her immediate family.

It featured 26 traditional gospel tracks, some of which were new recordings of her previously recorded gospel albums. The album was also re-released in an abridged version in both 2004 and 2012.

Still Country, Loretta's first solo release of new material in a dozen years, showed that she was still energetic and still feisty. Loretta said that no one was as country as she was when she first arrived in Nashville, and with this release she proves that she hasn't changed with the times. Fifty years after her first Christmas album, Country Christmas, Loretta released her latest country Christmas album, White Christmas Blue. The title track was co-written by Loretta and features two re-releases of songs from her original festive release, "To Heck With Ole Santa Claus" and "Country Christmas". Charting at No. 26 on the country chart, the album was released in October 1966.

Still Woman Enough - 2021
Still Woman Enough is Loretta's fiftieth solo studio album and was released in January 2021. Showcasing other female country stars from across the generations, the album contained re-releases of previous hits, which were just as fresh and relevant as ever. The album reached the Top 10 in the US and the UK, becoming her 44th Top 10 album, released over a period of 48 years. The Queen of Country is Still Woman Enough.
